December Centres!

It feels so good to be back in the room with Miss O. and all the Kiddoes. Take a look at some of our new learning experiences!

1) Listening Centre: The Kiddoes are able to scan a QR code on a book they would like to listen to, and it directly links them to the story on the iPad.

2) Card Making Station: The Kiddoes have the opportunity to create holiday cards for friends and family. There are many materials available to make the cards creative and exciting.

3) Candy Cane Ornaments: Using their growing knowledge of patterning, the Kiddoes have the opportunity to create unique tree ornaments.

4) Tree Decorating Chains: One of my favourite things to do when I was little was to make long chains to decorate our house. I taught the Kiddoes how to loop pieces of paper together, and this centre enables them to work on patterning and measurement, all the while having them collaborate together!

5) Snow Table: Here the Kiddoes are presented with a sensory experience that also helps them to work on their number recognition. They need to place the correct number of objects into each box!

6) Journal Challenge: This week's journal challenge ask the Kiddoes to count objects, colour and correctly identify the corresponding number.

7) Letter Recognition: This challenge requires the Kiddoes to recognize a letter of the alphabet and then to make the letter using different materials.

Learning through play at its best!
