Year End Learning

Even though it is the last full week of Kindergarten, the learning is still going strong in the room!

New Centres:

1) The Campground: The Kiddoes are having fun exploring the camping/fishing/bonfire experience. Games, books, and collaboration abound while focusing on numeracy and literacy outcomes.

2) Life Size Painting: This centre invites the creative juices to flow!

3) Sponge Centre: Fine motor control can be achieved in many ways, but my personal favourite is through play activities. The sponge centre challenges the Kiddoes to transfer water from one bucket to another by using the sponges. The squeezing motion activates the same muscles required to hold a pencil!

4) Whiteboards: The whiteboards continue to be a favourite. The Kiddoes are practicing their printing and fine motor control all the while collaborating with friends.

5) The Garden: This centre has remained a favourite. The Kiddoes continue to visually plan, and collaborate to create a beautiful garden.

6) Puzzes: These classes more than any other year have been puzzle champions! Puzzles help with visual planning, problem solving and fine motor control!
