Our Unique Shade

Today we discussed another way in which we are unique individuals....are physical features! We spent some time talking about the difference between the words 'colour' and 'shade' in reference to our skin. We all agreed that 'shade' was a much better word to describe our unique features. After spending some time comparing skin shades with others in the room, the Kiddoes were challenged to draw self-portraits. Using mirrors and multicultural art materials the Kiddoes actively engaged in this task. I am looking forward to see how our portrait wall taskes shape over the next few weeks!
