1) Art Centre- We have been inspired by the artwork of Piet Mondrian and are creating squares with thin black pieces of paper on white paper. The kiddoes have to paint the squares with different bright colours. I'm sure you will see some master pieces coming home in their Friday Folders soon...they look great!
2) Elastic Band Counting- The kiddoes are loving the chance to be able to practice their counting skills with these elastic bands. They have to place the elastic band on numbers 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, etc.
3) Post Office Centre- We are writing letters to our friends, mailing letters, delivering mail to everybody's mailbox, weighing boxes, and purchasing and decorating stamps in our new post office centre. The kiddoes are loving the chance to be able to practice writing each others names and learning how to write a few different words (hi, bye, to, from, etc.).
4) PWIM Words- We are practicing writing the words we have "shaken out" of our PWIM picture.
5) Shape Design Centre- The kiddoes have been exploring what happens when we place different shapes against the mirrors. Some very elaborate creations have been designed!
6) Water Table- Counting in the Ocean- The kiddoes are counting how many different types of animals they see and writing it down.
