Conferences

I have a quick note about the upcoming conferences at Henry Braun School. In the past (as many families with older children will remember), conferences in Kindergarten have been administered through the use of learning centres. Children were able to demonstrate the skills/academics on which we have been focusing, while also enabling families to see where their child is in reference to the Kindergarten outcomes that we hope reach by the end of the year. There was also time set aside for one-to-one conversations with me.

This year, an administrative decision has been made to have the entire school conduct individual one-to-one interviews for the November conference. This decision has caused the structure of the Kindergarten conference to change. As such, conferences in Kindergarten this November will be between parents, Miss Osborne, and myself during assigned times.

This year, the school has moved to an online registration process for conferences. It is our hope this process will enable families to choose a time that works best in their own unique circumstances. Kindergarten has two days from which to choose a time. You can choose a time on either Thursday, November 17th or Friday, November 18th.
