It was a
bittersweet day on Friday when we had to say good-bye to Mr. S. He has been an
integral part of our classroom all year. We are ALL going to miss his sparkling
personality, quick wit, compassion and engaging teaching style. The Kiddoes and
I decided to put together a few surprises for his last day with us. Earlier in
the month, when Mr. S. was not in the room, we came together as a class and brainstormed
what we thought Mr. S. would need in order to be a good teacher.
Here is
a list of what the Kiddoes came up with!!
It was
fun handing him each of these items and seeing his look of shock and surprise
with each one.
Next, we
created an iMovie of the reasons why the Regina Public School Board should hire
Mr. S. We felt as we knew him best, our opinions were very important! Once
again we brainstormed ideas why Mr. S. should be hired to teach his own class. We
watched the video with Mr. S and he was so touched.

We have been so incredibly lucky to have Mr. S. with us, but are very excited for him as he begins his career after the break. Good luck Mr. S. and we will all miss you!
