Year End Assembly

Three weeks ago Mr Kitchen and I asked the Kiddoes what dance/song they would like to preform at the assembly. I assumed it would be the butterfly dance or even the YMCA, but no, they surprised me yet again, Overwhelmingly the answer was, the combo dance. "REALLY???", I asked. "Yep!", they said. So together with Mr Kitchen's class, we practiced daily to make sure we knew the dance/song inside out. Then, last week, one Kiddoe asked, "Ms. S. Do you think the whole school knows this dance?" "I don't know." I replied. "Maybe we could teach them!" Thus evolved the idea to involve the whole school in our performance. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but was pleasantly surprised today by the overwhelming support all the students gave us. The Kiddoes did a great job and were incredibly excited to lead the whole school in a community building experience. Take a look at the video!
