Research Projects Cont...

On Friday, it was time for us to move onto step #2 of our individual research projects. If you recall from last week, the Kiddoes had brainstormed three ideas with which they wanted to explore further. However, on Friday, I challenged the Kiddoes to choose the one idea they liked best. I gave them each a few minutes alone to 'think' about his/her choice. We came back together as a group and each shared his/her choice. I then partnered the Kiddoes to spend a few minutes helping each other brainstorm some 'wonder questions' in an activity called Think/Pair/Share. With wonders brimming in our heads, it was finally time to meet our grade 7 research partners. Each Kiddoe had their own partner and they were tasked with recording some 'wonder questions'. Once finished, each team spent some time getting to know each other and sharing some books (as a side note, the K's were so excited that they COULD read to their new partner!).
