Empathy Project Finished

Last week on Monday, the Kinders headed out with their buddies to each classroom in the school. Once there they spent a few minutes talking about our project and asking each class to help. I was incredibly proud of the Kiddoes. It is an extremely difficult task to go into an unfamiliar room full of older students and speak. They did a great job!

All week the Kiddoes kept asking if it was the day they were to pick up the cards. When Friday finally arrived, the Kiddoes were extremely excited to collect cards from all of the classes. Once we collected them we decided to sort them in the hallway.

We counted the cards and were excited to find out we had collected 323 cards in total! As one Kiddoe put it so eloquently..."This will bring Addie so much peace!" We very carefully rounded up the cards and packed them away to send.

Once finished, one Kiddoe stated, "Ms. S. it is pretty easy to help change the world". "Yes", I replied. "Changing the world starts with you". I am so incredibly proud and honoured to work each day with these fantastic little people. This project showed them they are in fact able to change the world and to engage others to help them!
