Yesterday afternoon the Kinders were treated to a special surprise. The organization, Earth Rangers was in the school for a presentation about wildlife conservation. They travel across Canada using animals to showcase wildlife behaviour while discussing the issues facing these animals. The students got to observe and learn about four animals: A barn owl, a red fox, a Harris hawk and a tegu (a large lizard). The tour hopes to instill a positive, science-based message about the importance of protecting biodiversity. Needless to say, the presentation was a hit!
