New Friends In The Room

On Wednesday last week the Kindergarteners and I welcomed Mr. S. and Miss H. from the University of Regina into our classroom. Mr. S. and Miss H. are in their third year of teacher education and will be joining us every Wednesday until Christmas break and then for a three week block in March. We are very lucky to have both these wonderful individuals working and learning with us this year.

The Kiddoes enjoyed an exciting activity with Mr. S. and Miss H. which allowed them to introduce themselves and share a piece of information they felt made them unique. During the activity the Kiddoes were tasked with holding a ball of yarn while sharing and then passing the yarn onto another friend. However, they needed to make sure when the passed the yarn, they held on to a piece of it. Once the sharing was finished, the Kiddoes were amazed to see they had made a web. The web was to signify how we are all interconnected in the room. The lesson was a fabulous way for everyone to become better acquainted and I know the Kiddoes are excited to see Mr. S. and Miss H. again this week.
